Do you know how to make bread and cheese?

In my island something is changing! This year for the first time we are trying to welcome travellers, and not simple tourists, in our way! We are planning to organize dinner based on typical organic food, and we will prepare together part of the meal like the cheese, the bread or the pizza! The slogan is: “It’s not elegant, it’s not perfect, it’s real” More pictures will arrive soon or check those links!

Free climbing in San Vito Lo Capo and Palermo

No words to describe. I had my first climbing experience in Perugia, then I moved back to Sicily and I didn’t know that there were such a beautiful places all around my house. In less than one hour you can get really good spots in San Vito Lo Capo and Palermo, and especially in San Vito there are lots of routes from 4a to 8a. You can climb extremely close to the sea inside a cave and all around is full of caws and goes! It was a really good experience and I hope to repeat it soon cause some expert climbers told me that when it’s too hot is going to be impossible.

Anyway I’m a beginner (my record is a 5b) and I don’t have all the equipment, I have only climbing shoes, harness and magnesium. So if you wanna climb in Sicily you should be more expert than me, and bring your equipment.

Ps. in october there is https://www.facebook.com/sanvitoclimbingfestival?sk=info

Sicily Sustainable Tourism

What is sustainable tourism for us?

The idea is to mix traditional way to travel with www.couchsurfing.org

Sustainable because it’s extremely cheap and because you will get the best sicilian hospitality. Low cost apartments for rent are located two minutes from the beach. I will be your personal sicilian tour guide for any kind of excursions!

We offer an alternative way of traveling through and discovering the secrets of beautiful Sicily. An affordable way to visit new places, getting to speak and interact with sicilian characters, bike ride along the coast, tasting extra virgin olive oil and typical products directly in the factory, collecting the juicy fruits and vegetables of an organic garden, attending a class of sicilian body language, bathing in the thermal waters 51°.

In short you will see places that only a local would know.

Finally the official web site is now online. Actually this is just the first step. Pictures and translations are coming soon!
